Germany finds bird flu-infected cat
German scientists reported today that a cat in that country had been infected
with H5N1 avian flu, a discovery experts said reinforces the need to find
answers to questions about what role, if any, cats, dogs and other mammals may
play in the spread of the worrisome virus.
